Wendi Valladares is a visual artist from Dallas, Texas. Born in Fountain Valley California and raised in Dallas Texas, Wendi is more a native Texan as any other born Texan. She earned a Master of Fine Art in Print Media from Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas and a Bachelor of Art in Printmaking from the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas. She has shown her work in various solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States and in Canada. Her artwork is part of the collection for The Mexic-Arte Museum, The National Museum of Mexican Art and a few others. Wendi, her husband Abraham and their son live in Dallas Texas where they live close to their family and friends. You can always find her making her paper frames and drawing in her home studio.
Valladares’ art practice aims to recall, question, and redefine how dual cultural identity can reveal individual and social similarities and differences, that enhance our understanding of ourselves and others.
